On arrival, how do we get the keys?

On arrival, use the key code number emailed to you beforehand to let yourself in, you’ll find a welcome file with all the information you need!
 When can we check in?

Our standard check in time is 4:pm and check out time is 10:am. 
 Where and when do we get our lift passes?  

Answer

It’s best to  purchase them online during the peak weeks, but most of the time the queues are minimal, so buy them at the ski station. The exact area is highlighted on our Location page.
 We do we hire skis? 

Answer

We have a 20% discount arranged with Skiset at Morillon 1100 where you can leave your skis in the shop overnight.  They prefer you to pre-book your equipment, they speak English and their email is [email protected] or on 0033 (0)4 50 90 71 42.  However, you can hire from them when you arrive or make amends to your booking. Please mention Chalet Chocolat, to receive your discount. 
 Where do I book ski lessons?

 Do I need snow chains?  

Answer

Snow chains are a legal requirement on all alpine roads during the winter. Check out our post on Winter Driving. 
 Where is the supermarket and when is it open? 

Answer

 If you would like to shop before  you arrive in Samoens, and take advantage of  the lower prices found out of the valley, there is a Carrefour Hypermarché inCluses (Sortie 18) (20 minutes before Samoens) and also a Lidl. They are both usually open from 8:30am through to 8:30pm, but not open on Sundays. Between Verchaix and Samoens on the main road there is a Carrefour Market, this is a medium-sized supermarket and the nearest to the chalet. It opens from 8:15am through to 12.15 pm and then re-opens 2:15 pm through to 7:pm on weekdays and stays open throughout the day on Saturday. During the peak ski season weeks, you’ll find them open on Sunday morning too. Most shops are open on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day and other public holidays during the season, however out of season the supermarkets will close.
Are linen and bath towels included? 

Answer

One change of linen, one and several tea towels are included.Please use the set provided and wash during the week if necessary.
 Does your broadband include WiFi? 

Answer

Chalet Chocolat is equipped with WiFi and this along with many other amenities is outlined on our href=”http://www.purealpine.com/facilities/” target=”_blank”>Facilities page. 
 
Do you have a recommended babysitter? 

Answer

If you require a babysitter, please let us know as soon as possible or contact Samoens Nannies directly.  They can be difficult to source last minute so we need as much notice as possible.
 Do I need a car while I’m there? 

Answer

 As with any non-purpose built resort a car gives you flexibility, but there is a ski bus stop only 150 metres from the chalet.
 
Do you have a cot and a highchair? 

Answer

Yes we have both and we also provide one change of bedding for the cot.
When do I leave? 

Answer

 You must leave by 10:am on the day of departure, as this gives our cleaning staff the time to get the chalet ready for the following guests.
