“The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?”

We understand the importance of quality family time and as parents ourselves, realise that having little ones requires some forward planning.

Our caterers can arrange children’s suppers daily, we ask only that you forewarn them of your child’s particular dislikes. We have qualified nannies in the area to care for your children while you explore the mountain or when dining out. We also provide a personally curated list of family activities, which you may click to explore, without losing this page.

Chalet Chocolat is wired for sound and vision with games consoles, an iPod docking station, a football table, a table tennis table, collection of board games, a comprehensive DVD library as well as Sky Plus and Wi-Fi. The hot tub is there to entertain and relax, providing there is constant adult supervision.

The Grand Massif resort is renowned for their family-friendly ski areas, with numerous beginner slopes, snowparks and a selection of superb English-speaking ski schools. The resort has recently been chosen as Europe’s favourite family winter sports destination.

At Chalet Chocolat, we hope to make each moment special. After all, the memories of childhood last a lifetime.

It is true, that to take a young family skiing for the first time is a huge challenge, but we mastered it and the rewards far outweighed anything I had expected. Whatever ski ability, the John and Rebecca recommended exactly the activity to suit. On our chosen ‘rest days’ we took several day excursions to Chamonix, Annecy and Italy, always with the thoughtful recommendations of our hosts. I have not come across better customer service.
