Definition of Luxury
From the breathtaking views to the microscopic attention to detail, Chalet Chocolat is the definition of luxury.
Great for Access
We had a really wonderful week there with our one and two-year olds. Great for access, even during heavy snow!
Extremely Well Equipped
Extremely well equipped, with all the kitchen utensils you could need, a great selection of DVD’s, amazing home entertainment systems, table football, very comfortable sofas, charming bedrooms and of course; the hot tub!
Probably the Best in the Valley
Chalet Chocolat, nestled on the slopes of the Giffre Valley is just phenomenal. The website leaves you guessing what the chalet may look like, but you are certainly not disappointed when you arrive. The accommodation is as promised, probably the best in the valley.
We Didn’t Want to Come Home
We arrived to a spotless chalet, a roaring fire, comfy sofas, shopping delivered, a hot tub ready to jump into and beds made with crisp linen sheets. The Christmas tree was twinkling in the corner and the wine ready to pour – heaven. The next morning we woke to gorgeous views across the valley and from where I lay I could gaze at the sun rising over the snowy peaks. It was heaven, we didn’t want to come home.
This Has to be One of the Best
We are 2 families who have just spent a week in Chalet Chocolat. What a beautiful place it is. Ideally situated a short walk from the shuttle bus. The furnishings were very comfortable and luxurious with a very well equipped kitchen, but the icing on the ‘chocolat’ cake was the hot tub. Such a pleasure to experience it after a hard day on the slopes. Becky and John were so helpful and friendly, giving us tips and advice which proved invaluable. This has to be the one of the best Chalets available in the area and we would not hesitate in recommending it to everyone.
Seriously Upscale Chalet
Chalet Chocolat is so beautiful you may spurn the mountains for a day at home. Nowhere is perfect, but Chalet Chocolat comes very close. We were surprised at the quality of the accommodation offered for the price, this is a seriously upscale chalet and we almost felt embarrassed at having it all to ourselves for such a paltry sum. We have stayed in a number of chalets around the valley, but Chalet Chocolat tops them all in terms of value for money. We thought twice about sharing our little secret, but we’re booking ahead anyway, so who cares if half the world knows, “Chalet Chocolat is quite simply perfect!”
Well Located for Skiing
This is a really stunning chalet and well located for skiing. Chalet Chocolat is hard to beat.
John and Rebecca have added so many lovely little touches that make a world of difference. Fantastic location, it couldn’t be easier to get to the ski bus and the view is wonderful. There are a few lovely restaurants just down the road and Samoens and Morillon are both close by.
Games Room Was Fantastic
Chalet Chocolat exceeded our expectations and we cannot find a fault. Everything was luxurious from linen to a well-equipped kitchen. The hot tub was fabulous after a day on the slopes and a favourite with us all. The games room was fantastic and hours were spent on table tennis in the evenings. We had eight in our party – four young, four older! There truly was something for everyone. De la Terre was great for delivering food to your door and the local hotel had good food and was very welcoming. How great to have a day skiing, a hot tub and then relax in front of a roaring fire!
Would I go Back? You Bet I Would!
We spent a wonderful week here in Feb 2015. There were 10 of us in total – 8 skiers & 2 non skiers. The Chalet is excellent. Cosy but big enough to accommodate a large group. All of the fixtures, fittings & furniture is of a high standard. The nearest ski lift at Morillon is easily accessible by car or by the free ski bus that stops at the bottom of the road. I would recommend a car though. The skiing is excellent – fantastic range of skiing to suit all levels of ability. Would I go back? You bet I would!
How The Other Half Live!
I would recommend this chalet to anyone; to those that have it all, you will not be disappointed and to those who would like to try how the other half live, indulge!

Perfection is in the Details
Gorgeous chalet. Perfection is in the details and Chalet Chocolat has it all: beautiful amenities, luxury accommodation, stellar location and responsive hosts.

Views Are Out of This World
What a find, this fantastic chalet is in a prime position on a south-facing slope overlooking the Giffre Valley . Ideal for both winter and summer holidays. Coming home from skiing the Chalet Chocolat was bliss with the outside hot tub to jump in, well-stocked kitchen, beautiful lounge (the sofas are fab), lovely bedrooms and showers. The views from the chalet are out of this world and it was great to sit on the balcony or in the hot tub with a G&T taking in the superb scenery. The ski bus was approx 100 metres down the road with easy access to both the Morillon and Samoens ski lifts and the Grand Massif ski area.
Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer
Had an amazing time at Chalet Chocolat. The chalet is really well set up. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped – lots of sharps knives, an espresso machine and big fridge. I loved the Webber bbq. We enjoyed eating on balcony with views of mountains and there is also plenty of outdoor space – a nice terrace on the ground floor and a lawn at the side of the property. The scenery is stunning and there are lots of good walks nearby. Only wish we could have stayed longer.
